Short biography:	Mariko Tanabe is fascinated by the inner dimensions of human experience and the human body. Her personal approach to movement combines elements of Traditional Japanese Dance, Butoh, Flamenco, Contemporary Dance and Experimental Theater. Her background includes 12 years with The Erick Hawkins Dance Co. as a teacher, principal dancer and rehearsal director, as well as training in Yoga, Xi Quong, Meditation, Body-Mind Centering, Eurythmics and Alexander Technique.
