Shen Qi

Shen Qi was born and spent her youth playing erhu in Nanjing. At the age of eight, she was selected as a soloist of the famous "Nanjing Xiao Hong Hua Art Group", a special music school for children. In 1994, she bid farewell to China and brought her erhu music to Montreal (Montreal international Jazz festival, Festival des Musiques du Monde...). Since then, Shen Qi has been a guest solo performer at numerous festivals, concerts and music events. Qi has also collaborated with a number of well-known filmmakers and television producers in playing the original recordings of theme music. "La face cache de la lune"; "Race To Mars"; "Dinosaurs Alive". Shen Qi has recorded five albums since 1997.
