Montreal, April 19th, 2007 - In our ninth consecutive year, Festival Accès Asie collaborates with OBORO in a cyber-improvisation on stage, two choreographers/ dancers, who will showcase their craft in a virtual dialogue of gestures. Born in India, Ina Bhowmick will present in Montreal, a cyber-response to the Chinese dancer, Emily Cheung in Toronto. This fascinating show where classical and modern dance converge harmoniously, is expressed through new technologies to display creativity and boundless beauty.
An on-line dance dialogue infused with originality and innovation, 9 Moments gives voice to two talented Asian Canadian dancers who explore a common universe in their respective ways. The artists have had classical dance training; one is trained in traditional Chinese dance while the other in Indian dance. Emily and Ina chose the theme of Dance Fusion to illustrate a blending of movements inspired from classical, modern and multicultural (hip-hop, ballet Jazz, African) dances. This unique style of dance allows a renewing freedom of expression and large range of fine-tuned emotions.
